#APOIinternationalGuest: We meet Pauline Levasseur, President FFPO – Francophone Association

#APOIinternationalGuest, gave us an exciting new appointment with Pauline Levasseur, a fellow French professional organizer, a European cousin, and president of the French-speaking FFPO association.

APOI members once again experienced a valuable and stimulating opportunity to engage with a professional in the field who operates in a culture different from ours, but at the same time very close to us, belonging to a European vision.

Pauline is a young, generous, full of enthusiasm and full of energy, which she has conveyed over time not only in the growth of her personal business, but also and especially in the development and popularization of the profession in France, Belgium and Switzerland, through the FFPO Association, of which
has been a member since its inception.
For APOI Associates, it was very interesting to find out about the FFPO's excursus, their initiatives, internal structure, and the way they face the public and potential professional organizers.

 

#APOIinternationalGuest, how and why.

Being a professional organizer requires, in my opinion, a natural and spontaneous pursuit of a high level of professionalism, supported by continuing education and institutional recognition of the profession. This last aspect can only be achieved by being part of an association that falls among those that respond to the "Provisions on Unorganized Professions" (LAW No. 4 of 2013) and is included in the list of professional associations
that issue the Ministry of Economic Development MISE certificate of service quality.

That said, APOI 's task goes beyond that! The Association is committed to offering throughout the year a long series of webinars (about 22) including, from 2020, three proposed within the #APOIinternationalGuest project. This initiative aims to be APOI's window on the world, to give all members the opportunity to get closer to cultures other than our own, to be able to learn about the evolution of the profession worldwide, and to meet high-level professionals. This is a series of appointments that are truly unique because of the diversity of our guests, the enthusiasm they express, and their entrepreneurial resourcefulness. Only as an APOI Associate can one have such an experience.

Also with a view to international exchange, we recall that in 2019 APOI joined theIFPOA, the association that encompasses all the world's leading Associations.

 

Pauline and her overwhelming charge

I met Pauline Levasseur in 2020, at the height of the pandemic; I contacted her to propose the dissemination of the APOI Manifesto and was immediately struck by her overwhelming enthusiasm, her vision of work and professional growth. Stimulated by our initiative, she did not stop at disseminating the APOI Manifesto, but declined the idea to the French community, creating a beautiful communication campaign on FFPO's social networks.

During our video call, like a river in flood she asked me all kinds of questions about the profession in Italy, about my personal business, about APOI. Pauline is engaging, always smiling, an Entrepreneur in DNA and the aspect of her character that I appreciate the most is just her endless curiosity. Pauline wants to know, to learn, to grow in order to pour all her know-how not only into her personal business, but especially into the FFPO association, because she desires its growth and evolution, aware that growing the profession is a task that cannot be missed.

She, like so many of us, started from her own personal experience: she grew up in a very large family with an extremely organized mother, and then worked as a sales engineer in top companies, two excellent stepping stones to the professional organizer she later became.

In 2015 she decided to start her own business By Pauline to discover her incredible talents as an entrepreneur.

In 2016, she co-wrote her first book with Elise Delprat, RANGE YOUR LIFE, published by Larousse Editions.

In 2017, she is actively involved in the development of FFPO-the francophone federation of organizational professionals-with a desire to popularize and have the profession recognized.

In 2018, he obtained the trainer diploma from the French state and designed Home & Office Organiser training courses.

In 2019, he obtained a grant from the Île-de-France region to take a
training course delivered by the Franchise Board team to develop his own By Pauline franchise network, training and supporting in the path of growth those who want to tackle the profession by choosing his brand.

 

What we learned from listening to Pauline

Pauline is proof that enthusiasm combined with focus and passion can give you success!
In just a few years he has grown the French-speaking association to 150 members, a tangible example of his excellent entrepreneurial skills by creating a close-knit and motivated team. We are grateful for how our French (and other) "cousins" are supporting the growth of the profession in an excellent way, as it represents recognition of the profession itself at the European level.
