21 July 2019Leave for the vacations with the peace of mind of leaving EVERYTHING behind! And if to close your house you prepare well in advance everything will be easier and more manageable.
The things to be done are not few, but let's look at the most important ones.
Some valuable advice:
- First valuable tip, to survey the whole house make a check list so you can reuse it in the future!
- Before you lock up your house, leave a copy of your house keys with someone you trust very much so that they can intervene in case of emergency, and leave your cell phone with neighbors or the building doorman.
- Especially in the kitchen you have to play it by anticipation, using up everything you have in the refrigerator, freezer and pantry, and resealing everything you want to find intact when you return. Also after cleaning appliances remember to unplug their electrical outlet.
- TV, stereo, video game consoles. Have you really turned everything off? If a little red light is camping on your electronic devices-no. They are just on standby. Remember to turn them off completely: you will see the result when you return directly to your bill, saving on the energy component.
- Make sure the gas system is shut off.
- The laundry area should also be left "light" ready to greet you when you return from vacation with laundry to do! Above all, make sure there are no clothes in the washing machine basket.
- Coming back from a vacation and finding a fresh bed is a pleasant gift, and you'll also have a chance to use the summer to send the comforter to the dry cleaners.
