4 March 2020The importance of taking care of one's physical and mental energies. It applies to both men and women, although it must be said that women often play several overlapping roles: busy at work, mothers, daughters, partners or wives... Lives with very fast-paced rhythms, in which it is easy to leave out oneself.
But in order to enable us to sail smoothly, taking care of our physical and mental energies is extremely important.
1.What do I mean by physical and mental energies?
Focusing, concentrating, being physically fit, valuing sleep--in order for us to perform at our best at work as well as in our personal lives, we cannot neglect self-care.
2.Mindfulness always first
It always starts from there, what do your emotions tell you? What lifestyle do you lead? Do you feel exhausted? Always with an underlying anxiety? Often by always being harried and running we also lose the ability to assess how we are and to stop.
So I ask you
1. How much sleep do you get?
2. Can you slow down at the right time?
3. How do you recharge your batteries?
4. Do you carve out time forphysical activity?
3. Recharging batteries is important
It has been a journey for me, too, to understand how important it was to value my resources, and to find the tools not only to recharge my batteries but to have a life that gave me more physical and mental energy.
Each of us may have different desires and needs, I will tell you what works for me.
- Physical activity
taking care of your body is important, whether it is yoga, postural or even better an outdoor sport, but keep your body active because it helps your mind. Not at home the Latins used to say, Mens sana in corpore sano.
- Proper nutrition
If we do not feel good about ourselves, it is difficult to feel good about others, and especially a diet that is not well balanced can weigh us down.
- Sleep
Give value to the hours you sleep, especially the sleep before midnight that allows us to wake up in the morning more energized and less tired.
- Slow down at the right time?
If you're observant you can tell when you're yielding less, when the measure is full, when fatigue doesn't allow you to perform at your best... and even if it sometimes depends on external factors that aren't always manageable, find ways to slow down and take a break, just take a walk in the green.
- Walking in nature
It is the thing that most regenerates me, a walk by the sea or in a park, away from the pressing pace of daily life is unparalleled to fully regenerate your energy!
So I hope that after this tutorial you will listen to yourself a little more, because to bring good personal organization to life also starts with your own physical and mental energies!
