The command center is a place within your home that must have a few essential tools.
First, a calendar, which is clearly visible and easy for even the youngest members of the family to consult. Obviously, the calendar is used to mark appointments and deadlines for everyone in the household.
An interesting statistic tells us that we lose 16 hours a year searching for keys. So our command center cannot lack a key ring or bowl where we can find and put down our keys. Ideally, there should also be a container to handle incoming and outgoing mail. Also very useful is a whiteboard where important communications and instant messaging can be written.
It will be the reference point for the whole family. Therefore, it is important that it is located in a must-see spot for all family members. Usually the kitchen is the chosen one, in fact it is a meeting place more than any other in the house. After the kitchen, usually the preferred place for the command center is the entrance hall. It is also true that we do not want to show our personal intimate family things to anyone who enters our home. So perhaps a closet or other discreet piece of furniture is ideal to become the central hub of the house.
On the occasion of International Family Day, which will be May 15, try to have fun with children and teens by involving them in the creation of the command center that will in fact serve them above all.
