Francesca Pansadoro in Geo – Dis-organization? Networking for learning
1 February 2022
In 2016 from the meeting with the Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation began for the Educational team of Organizing Italy a fruitful journey of growth, discovery and experimentation. Thanks to the Peretti Foundation, the idea of entering the diverse world of education to convey the value of organizational skills took shape. Our dream in the drawer over time has given us unexpected results, inspiring us to do better and better and reach different targets.
A new challenge
The first projects were dedicated to primary, junior and senior secondary school children, and then reached out to teachers, offering customized in-presence and online courses. Today we are ready for a new challenge, thanks to the valuable support of the Peretti Foundation: "Dis-organization - Networking for facilitated learning through shared organizational tools and languages."
A free online course, downloadable on demand, intended for teachers of all levels, parents and other learning support figures of children/youth, including those with learning problems BES, DSA, ADHD, having the objective of facilitating an organized, fluid and coherent dialogue between the various figures involved, creating a common language of sharing and a positive impact on everyone's life, through concrete help to those who recognize in organizational tools and strategies a key to more efficient and effective learning and studying.
The course consists of the following topics:
- Organize time and manner of communication between involved parties
- Set up organized and productive meetings between the parties involved
- Use of organizational tools to facilitate communication between family, school, and support agencies, and the work of everyone
- use of planning, shared planning methods
- Organization of the child/youth's day and activities
- Organization of child/youth habits and materials
- Organization of the child's/youth's desk and space
- Learning to experiment with tools to increase self-efficacy.
In order to create a comprehensive and truly supportive product for those who experience objective problems on a daily basis, we called on board the Anastasis Social Cooperative, which deals with learning difficulties and disabilities boasting 30 years of experience, working alongside students with DSA and other Special Educational Needs.
It turned out to be a wonderful collaboration, characterized by sharing the same vision and the value of the proposed content. A common goal pursued by different but complementary professionals, Organize Italy with the practical support of organizational strategies, methods and tools, Anastasis with the psychological know-how cultivated through years of experience in the field.
Stimulating and constructive comparisons
The project includes a series of webinars and Facebook live streams with cadenced appointments to open a direct dialogue with those who have chosen our proposal. A practice that we are proposing after fruitful past experiences, which proved very useful by giving us the opportunity to confront with teachers, parents and those who live the world of education (those involved in after school or sports activities). "Unity is strength," so our goal is to create constructive communication among the various figures who revolve around children and young people.
We invite you to register for the first of our meetings on February 3 at 6:00 p.m.. In the webinar we will explain the course and you will learn how to better manage time, incorporate functional organizational habits, organize space and communication to give the best possible support to students and also make life easier for the adults who gravitate to them.
What we expect from this new proposal
The varied target to which the course is dedicated (tutors, teachers and parents) allows us to have a new look at those who measure themselves every day with the problems of children and young people with learning difficulties. Organize Italy together with Anastasis share the goal of becoming a reference point for these figures, of being the right answer to their burning needs.
Our most heartfelt thanks go not only to the Peretti Foundation, to whom we will always be grateful for their valuable support renewed over time, but also to the Anastasis Cooperative who accepted our invitation, testifying to their esteem and trust in our proposal.
Let this be the first of many projects, as Organizing Italy as a B Corporation and Benefit Society, in its corporate purpose aims to have a positive impact on society, and this is another small big step for a better future for all.
