Organizing emergencies and daily life with children

Who among us, in our daily lives, has not faced unexpected emergencies?
As a result, the serenity of everyday life can be seriously undermined by events that are handled with difficulty, precisely because they are unexpected situations that can find you unprepared. When there are also children in the family (every age is characterized by possible emergencies of different kinds) it can become even more complex.

But what do we mean by emergency?

In my years of professional experience, lived alongside people, I have seen that in order to best deal with unexpected emergencies, the most difficult ones are related to health management, it is important to have an organizational base that makes everyday life go as smoothly as possible, simplified and pliant, allowing one to deal with change with elasticity, as it is not always chosen, but often just has to be accompanied. Moreover, organization always goes hand in hand with change.

It is also a must to make a distinction between the emergency that is a consequence of procrastination, lack of clarity of purpose, not knowing how to choose priorities, and the emergency that we undergo as life presents it to us (e.g., illness, moving and relocation, job change).

So, to avoid impacting hard with the emergency to be faced, it is worth working "on the before," in the day-to-day, creating a right gait that does not allow stress to override. The life tasks to be faced are many, especially for women who see their private lives overlapping with their work lives. The more we are able to create a peaceful lifestyle, the more we can deal with life's emergencies, from the smallest and most painless to the largest and most complex, when the time comes. We know how stress negatively impacts emotions, and when the emergency is particularly challenging, part of our emotions are already severely compromised.

What tools, strategies, and methods to use?
Achieving a good level of personal organization is a journey of small steps, but the important thing is to start.

To achieve the quality of life you desire you set in motion:
- "new habits" that are always evolving, because organization is never static. By assessing your current habits you try to figure out what to change and/or transform
- the right tools: using calendar and lists is a good starting point to improve the management of your days.

But what can't be missed?
- the right motivation > merging with the desire for change

- planning > planning allows you not to live in a state of improvisation and also to seize the pleasant moment.

- the ability to assess priorities > from firsthand experience with those who choose me, I know how neglecting this aspect, can prove to be a strong limitation.

- working on productive communication > helps all members of a family group to improve collaboration and to be supportive of each other.

If you work on this foundation, you will be able to achieve excellent results while also greatly improving family participation and leaving more space for time to be shared lightly. You will have laid the foundation for achieving an optimal quality of life, which will put you in a position to face emergencies, even the most difficult ones, with more clarity and without succumbing to difficult emotions.

In this I come alongside parents
The steps proposed are those I go through in my field experience, coming alongside parents(here we are talking to you) to support them in implementing what has been said, through a strong relationship of trust in which listening is the key word, and empathy the most important ingredient. A sense of autonomy should be passed on to children from an early age, thus helping them cultivate a good educational foundation while developing organizational skills.

Children and teens, like adults, may face more
or less important emergencies, whether it is in study (an exam to retake) illness (slowing down the schedule in spite of ourselves) or a significant change (a move as a student away from home).
