The vacations, how to prepare with your children
10 June 2019When the end of school arrives (whichever class you attend) it is an opportunity to:
do space clearing, give books a second life, select materials we may need in the coming year, organize spaces, and convey the value of autonomy to children and youth.

Classroom doors close, the end of school begins, a path, a project comes to an end. There is so much excitement, and whatever your children's ages, they will come home with books, notebooks and more...don't procrastinate tackles along with their "Space clearing-post school."
Some useful tips
- It will be an opportunity to convey to children/youth the value of letting go of things no longer needed or keeping what they may need the following year.
- Second Life to Books
If the children manage to sell the books at the end of school, you can give them the proceeds; they will be encouraged to take care of their books again the following year because they know they can sell them. In case you are unable to sell them, give them to those in need.
- Give value to the materials
That you may need next year, evaluate them carefully and give them a location to easily find them the following year ready to go back to school!
- Opportunity to look at one's spaces and what they contain
Special opportunity to clean one's bookshelf, one's desk by carefully sorting through all the materials brought home.
