11 April 2019The ideal home is a space that represents us.
Having an ongoing curation of the ideal home is important, because we often get used to our spaces by losing the ability to see what no longer matches us. Does your home match you today?
It is spring, a time of change. And change is always an opportunity. We feel like renovating, so why not start right in your home?
We often get used to the spaces we have, whether it's in the office or the home. We are no longer able to see where to renovate or transform some things. For example, do you still like the colors in your home? Won't this be an opportunity to renew the colors of the walls? Look at your spaces with different eyes. Are they well optimized? For example, in places where you need the best lighting, do you have the correct lighting?
Take a tour of your home with pen and paper and mark down all the things you don't like or think could be improved: think of your ideal home.
One piece of advice I give you is to give special attention to the entrance. The entrance is the first calling card for all the people who come to visit you. It is also extremely practical, for getting in and out of the house, for leaving your keys and cell phone, incoming mail, and even some messaging for other family members.
All you need is a small shelf on one wall and you know it is the place of arrival, and when you leave the house you will find what is needed.
The ideal home must be as light as possible.
