School starts, how to get organized?
2 September 2019How to choose priorities?
2 October 2019Do you know what planning is?
Planning, at work and in your personal life, helps you have a smoother life and never be in the "urgency zone," with the goal of eliminating stress.
Are you a busy working mom with success at work and can't find the right balance and organization between your personal life and your work? I am also a working mom, and together we can experiment with solutions and organizational strategies for your work and thus improve your lifestyle through planning.
The valuable tools you cannot do without are these:
- Calendar, possibly online, but not necessarily. Scheduling, if applied correctly, works even on paper calendar!
How do you use your calendar? Do you use it properly? Too many times I meet people who while using this important tool, do not use it correctly. The calendar is used to set a deadline, and/or indicate a time and place to get to. Some do not use it at all keeping everything in mind , making an incredible effort wasting precious resources.
- Another tool you won't be able to do without are lists. But again, it is not the tool itself but the use you make of it. Lists (I often use the anglophone term checklists) are an extremely simple but essential tool.
Because making a list forces us out of the fog of chaos. To get out of the nightmare of having to remember everything by heart (which is just a big waste of energy).
It forces us to synthesize our ideas. To dissect them and figure out their actual priority. One can make lists of anything from a list for a beach vacation, mountain vacation, or work weekend, to a list of school supplies, to a list of resolutions.
