Physical and mental energies
2 March 2020For those of you who have been following me for a long time, you know my catchphrase: to have a good, peaceful and productive browsing you need two basic tools:
calendar and lists.
Today we are talking about lists!
When used correctly, lists are a vital tool and can be of various kinds:
1. Time-related lists.
Daily, to accompany the progress of the day, for me one of the most important, but also weekly or monthly. That is, to have a vision of the things that need to be accomplished in that given time frame. In this case, it is very important to be able to stick to priorities.
2. Macro lists, which serve to keep the mind lighter, that is, a series of things that need to be done, but at perhaps different times, but writing them down lightens the mind and allows us to review them from time to time.
3. Fixed lists also called check lists, (a fixed list to which you can have a check box to give a tick) are used when certain actions are repeated, for example to pack a suitcase, perhaps differentiated by type of travel (work, beach vacation, mountain vacation) a swimsuit will not be able to miss to go to the beach but is not useful for work! Another example of a check list might be one dedicated to your children's summer camp (basketball, soccer, tennis?).
4. Themed lists
That is, a list related to a given topic, whether it is related to work or a given project, for example, the list of actions I need to take to buy a new car.
But a good example is the shopping list, in this case technology comes strongly to our aid, with apps that allow us to customize it, or take pictures of the product so we don't forget it. This type of list simplifies us a lot, once set up it does not have to be redone every time, because you can draw from a basic list and what is even more important is that it can be a list shared with other family members.
5. Picture list
I have a list for products I buy at the pharmacy such as books I want to buy or ones I have loved. Having the pictures on the smartphone makes it very quick to show the product at the time of purchase.
For the shopping list and those dedicated to using pictures I use Keep, a very useful and versatile app.
